What is iNHance D001?

iNHance D001 is the private label branding of our technology: BIOPURE® MM1. It is exclusively available to a key brand partner.

It is a castor seed oil-based functional finish that delivers exceptional wicking, drying, and cooling performance for textile applications. Its ultra-hydrophilic nature transforms textiles, eliminating the limitations caused by a fabric’s contact angle and enabling superior moisture absorption.

As a flash wicking and quick drying agent, iNHance D001 rapidly pulls moisture through the fabric while dispersing it across the surface for quick evaporation. This process creates an instant cooling effect that is perceptible to the consumer, providing a refreshing and comfortable experience. These advanced properties make our innovative technology the optimal choice for challenging textile segments, such as activewear, technical textiles, and heavyweight denim. Where conventional technologies often fall short, iNHance D001 ensures consistent and reliable performance.

How it works

iNHance D001 operates by leveraging the unique properties of castor oil to deliver advanced moisture management and cooling benefits. When applied to textiles during the finishing process, iNHance D001 is designed to form strong bonds deep within the textile fibers. These strong bonds are achieved even at low drying temperatures of 75 °C, ensuring efficient processing and durability. This bonding ensures long-lasting performance that is effective through 30 washes, making iNHance D001 a superior alternative to synthetic technologies.

The unique value of Castor Oil among fats and oils:

  • It is the only source of an 18-carbon hydroxylated fatty acid with one double bond.

  • Ricinoleic acid comprises approximately 90% of the fatty acid composition.

  • Exceptional uniformity and consistency for a naturally occurring material.

  • It is a nontoxic, biodegradable, renewable resource.

  • Ricinoleic acid is exceptional from other fatty acids because of its unique structure.

  • The chemical structure of ricinoleic acid shows three important functional classes, carboxylic (-COOH), alkene (-C=C-), and hydroxyl (-OH) groups. They provide optimal bonding and function, which is crucial for performance and durability.

Regenerative Castor

Our plant-based technology is derived from regenerative castor seed oil. The castor seed consists of 45-55% oil. This essential oil produced from the castor plant offers unequalled versatility and capability. The oil is highly productive and resource efficient.

The castor plant is resilient in fighting and enduring climate change. It is ideal for marginal lands in arid and semi-arid climates. The hearty root system prevents soil erosion that easily can occur. The castor plant is very water efficient, drought resistant, and tolerant of water salinity and soil acidity. The farms practice regenerative agriculture and are supported with education, training, and resources.

Utilizing renewable energy and state-of-the-art processing equipment that minimize waste and energy usage. At the initial lifecycle assessment of our castor-based technologies, we already were utilizing more than 50% of renewable energy in the processing and manufacturing facility. We take great pride in knowing that, today, we utilize 100% renewable energy, primarily through wind power.
