Recording and eliminating CO2 emissions is not a silver bullet for solving climate change and restoring biodiversity, but rather a small piece of a larger picture. It requires many and various solutions, innovations, and initiatives to help limit climate change to 1.5°C.

Land
We source from arid and semi-arid farmland. The castor plant is drought resistant while also preventing soil erosion and desertification. It allows for farmers to have a climate resilient crop. The castor-based material for our products does not utilize fertile soil, does not compete with cash crops for resources, and does not use GMOs.
Water
Majority of water comes from rainfall. Minimal irrigation is used during cultivation and farms adhere to regenerative agriculture practices for improved effectiveness and efficiency for water consumption.
Our processing and engineering facility collects the effluent water, filters it, then re-uses it.
Energy
We prioritize sourcing renewable energy for all of our facilities.
Currently, we are sourcing more than 90% of our total energy from wind power. We take great pride in being well ahead of our targeted goal to achieve complete sustainable energy sourcing by 2040.
People
All workers are paid a living wage, provided with time off, and receive health benefits.
We firmly believe that safety along with health & wellbeing are fundamental and core responsibilities. This includes for our workers, our partners, the environment, and the consumer.
